Job Description:
- Managing, maintaining and updating financial records, including ledgers
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance and support.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
- Conduct account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices.
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of accounting software and systems.
- Prepare and issue error-free invoices to clients.
- Ensure timely posting of source documents (invoices, petty cash vouchers).
- Process staff salaries and payroll using accounting software.
- Handle remittance of tax returns to relevant authorities.
- Reconcile bank transactions and maintain financial records.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for management review.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Expertise in financial analysis and accounting principles
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
- Excellent planning, leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity
- Strong teamwork and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial regulations.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A knowledge of Human Resources and Inventory control will be an added advantage.
- Candidate must be a female and reside in Lagos Island or close to the Island.
Qualifications and Skills:
- B.Sc/HND in Accounting,
- Minimum of 7 years relevant but cognate accounting experience in Real Estate or related industry
- Successful Completion of stage 2 or 3 of ICAN professional exam will be an added advantage
