About Company:
Roseann Gold Hotel & Resort Limited is a boutique hospitality brand in Abuja offering premium accommodation and guest experiences for corporate, leisure, and long-stay clients. The hotel is focused on service quality, operational discipline, and sustainable revenue growth.
Job Description:
We are seeking a high-integrity, meticulous Hotel Accountant to serve as the financial anchor of our operations. This is a hands-on role designed for a professional who thrives on accuracy and financial discipline. You will be responsible for the entire financial lifecycle—from reconciling daily room revenue and managing complex payroll (including occupancy-linked bonuses) to preparing the monthly P&L and ensuring tax compliance. Because your compensation includes a performance bonus linked to hotel occupancy, you are expected to act as a strategic partner to management, identifying revenue leakages and ensuring every Naira is accounted for to support sustainable profitability.
Requirements:
1. Revenue Assurance & Income Control
Daily Reconciliation: Audit daily room revenue against the PMS (Property Management System), POS, and bank inflows to ensure zero discrepancies.
Leakage Prevention: Proactively flag under-posting, irregular pricing, or unauthorized discounts.
Receivables Management: Track corporate accounts, long stays, and receivables to ensure a healthy cash flow.
2. Payroll & Performance Incentive Accuracy
Complex Calculations: Prepare monthly payroll, specifically calculating occupancy-linked management bonuses, sales commissions, and service charge distributions.
Structure Compliance: Ensure all payouts strictly adhere to approved payroll structures and maintain absolute confidentiality.
3. Management Intelligence & Reporting
Performance Metrics: Track and report on critical hotel KPIs including Occupancy %, ADR (Average Daily Rate), and RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room).
Financial Statements: Prepare monthly P&L statements, cash flow summaries, and expense variance analysis to guide management decisions.
4. Compliance & Systems Discipline
Statutory Stewardship: Manage VAT, PAYE, WHT, and all Nigerian statutory filings to ensure a zero-penalty record.
Internal Controls: Enforce documentation standards for all transactions and support internal/external audits with verifiable records.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience
Academic: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Tenure: Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience (prior experience in the hospitality industry is highly preferred).
Certification: Professional accounting certification is a distinct advantage.
Core Competencies
Integrity: High level of discretion and an uncompromising commitment to financial ethics.
Technical Skill: Strong understanding of financial controls, reporting, and accounting software.
Efficiency: Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet tight month-end deadlines.
