Job Description:

• Our client, a reputable construction company, is seeking to hire a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations and support the company’s financial management processes.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, monitoring project expenses, and ensuring compliance with statutory and internal financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and cost allocations.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Process invoices, payments, and payroll transactions.
• Assist with tax filings, statutory remittances, and regulatory compliance.
• Track project-related costs and ensure proper financial documentation for construction activities.
• Prepare cash flow reports and support budgeting activities.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years’ accounting experience, preferably within the construction industry.
• Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, or ICAN will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Good understanding of project accounting and cost control.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
