Job Description:

• Maintain accurate financial records, including income, expenses, budgets, and cash flow.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.

• Manage accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll processes.

• Monitor project costs and prepare financial documentation for vendor and procurement transactions.

• Ensure compliance with Nigerian tax laws, including VAT, PAYE, WHT, and Company Income Tax.

• Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and other regulatory bodies.

• Develop and monitor budgets for engineering projects and company operations.

• Provide cost analysis and financial insights to support management decision-making.

• Implement and maintain internal financial controls to safeguard company resources.

• Support financial planning, forecasting, and pricing strategies for contracts.

Requirements:

• In-depth understanding of Nigerian tax laws, compliance requirements, and financial reporting standards.

• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or other ERP systems.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• High attention to detail with the capacity to work independently and meet deadlines.

• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments and teams.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Professional certifications such as ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent are a strong advantage.

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on accounting experience, ideally within engineering, construction, or technical service industries.
