Job Description:
- The accountant will be responsible for managing the company’s financial records, payments, reporting, and compliance activities.
- The role involves preparing accurate financial reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing financial insights to support management decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage supplier and staff payments in line with approved company procedures.
- Prepare financial reports for management and shareholders, providing insights and interpreting financial data.
- Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses and provide financial advice.
- Support month-end and year-end stock counts and valuation processes.
- Assist with statutory and regulatory filings, including taxes and other related submissions.
- Prepare and manage weekly, monthly, and annual operating budgets and cash flow forecasts.
- Prepare monthly internal financial statements and management accounts.
- Manage the company’s relationships with banks and other external financial stakeholders, including credit and facility providers.
- Perform other duties as assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and financial regulations is an added advantage.
- ICAN certification is an added advantage.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
