Job Description:

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Accounting Supervisor to lead our accounting department’s daily operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the accuracy of our financial data, ensuring that all transactions—from accounts payable to general ledger reconciliations—are executed with precision. You will serve as the engine of our financial reporting, managing month-end closings, preparing budget forecasts, and ensuring 100% compliance with legal and tax regulations. The ideal candidate is a data-driven leader who can transform raw financial figures into actionable insights while mentoring a team to meet peak performance standards.

Requirements:

1. Financial Operations & Ledger Management

  • Daily Oversight: Monitor and validate all daily transactions, including Accounts Payable/Receivable (AP/AR), bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.

  • Closing Mastery: Manage the end-to-end month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all deadlines are met without compromising data integrity.

  • Audit & Payroll Readiness: Lead the preparation for regular tax audits and oversee the accuracy of payroll processing.

2. Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis

  • Revenue Projections: Prepare detailed budgeting reports and revenue forecasts to guide executive decision-making.

  • Data Synthesis: Organize complex financial data into usable information, creating charts and spreadsheets that track the progress of organizational objectives.

  • Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor departmental KPIs to ensure the team is aligned with the company’s financial targets.

3. Governance & Team Leadership

  • Policy Architecture: Establish and refine accounting policies and procedures in alignment with current laws and company growth targets.

  • Compliance Stewardship: Ensure all financial activities strictly adhere to local and international accounting principles and regulations.

  • Team Mentorship: Manage and evaluate the daily performance of the accounting staff, prioritizing workloads and fostering a culture of accuracy.

Qualifications and Skills:

Technical Proficiency

  • Software Expertise: Proven experience with modern accounting software (e.g., FreshBooks, Sage, or QuickBooks).

  • MS Excel Mastery: Advanced skills in managing complex spreadsheets, utilizing VLOOKUPs/Pivot Tables, and creating visual data charts.

  • Regulatory IQ: Solid knowledge of bookkeeping principles, tax laws, and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
