Job Description:
We are seeking a high-precision Accountant to join our finance team as a key steward of our financial health. In this role, you will be the bridge between our sales performance and our financial stability. You will manage the full cycle of bookkeeping, but more importantly, you will own the complexity of commission-based income and expense tracking.
This role is perfect for an accountant who enjoys working with SMEs or service-based businesses, where attention to detail in computing sales incentives is just as critical as preparing monthly financial reports. Requirements:
1. Revenue & Incentive Governance
Commission Architecture: Accurately compute complex sales commissions and incentives, ensuring they are integrated seamlessly into the payroll process.
Billing & Receivables: Prepare professional invoices and manage the accounts receivable lifecycle to ensure healthy cash flow.
Transaction Management: Record and maintain the daily general ledger, ensuring every income and expense entry is categorized correctly.
2. Operational Expense Control
Expense Lifecycle: Track all operational expenses, audit expense claims, and ensure timely processing while maintaining strict adherence to company policy.
Documentation & Audit-Readiness: Maintain an organized, confidential filing system for all financial records, ensuring the company is always prepared for internal or external reviews.
3. Reporting & Decision Support
Monthly Performance Analysis: Prepare clear monthly income and expense reports that highlight trends and variance.
Management Advisory: Provide the management team with accurate financial snapshots to support strategic planning and operational pivots.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: 2–3 years of hands-on accounting experience, ideally within an SME or service-based environment.
Specialized Knowledge: Proven experience handling commission-based structures and payroll support is a significant advantage.
Technical & Soft Skills
Excel Mastery: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (Formulas, Pivot Tables, and Data Validation) for complex commission calculations.
Software Savvy: Practical experience with basic accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero).
Integrity: A high degree of ethical standards and the ability to maintain absolute confidentiality.
Detail Orientation: A "zero-error" mindset when dealing with numerical data and financial reporting.
