Abuja, Nigeria | Posted on 30/01/2026

About Company:

eHealth Africa designs and implements data-driven solutions and technologies to improve health systems for and with local communities. eHA’s technology works in low connectivity settings and uses data to drive decision-making by local governments and partner agencies to get optimum results.

Job Description:

eHealth Africa is seeking a meticulous and strategically minded Coordinator, Grants & Contracts to anchor the compliance and financial integrity of our donor-funded portfolio. In this role, you are the bridge between ambitious public health goals and the rigorous regulatory requirements of global donors. You will manage the full lifecycle of grants—from pre-award budget alignment to post-award audit readiness—ensuring that every contract is a blueprint for accountability and impact. If you thrive in dynamic operating environments and possess a "compliance-first" mindset, this is your opportunity to shape the future of healthcare delivery in Africa.

Requirements:

1. Full Lifecycle Lifecycle Management (Pre & Post-Award)

  • Agreement Governance: Coordinate the end-to-end review of grant and contract agreements, ensuring every clause aligns with both donor regulations and organizational policy.

  • Deliverable Tracking: Serve as the custodian of the Grant Management System, tracking timelines, reporting requirements, and project milestones to prevent non-compliance.

  • Budget Architecture: Collaborate with Finance and Program teams to develop precise grant budgets, modifications, and financial documentation.

2. Compliance, Oversight & Sub-Award Management

  • Regulatory Assurance: Interpret and implement complex donor regulations (e.g., BMGF, EU, USAID/FCDO) to de-risk project execution.

  • Partner Monitoring: Oversee sub-award agreements, ensuring implementing partners adhere to reporting standards and financial accountability protocols.

  • Audit Preparedness: Maintain a centralized, "audit-ready" filing system and lead the compilation of documentation for internal and external donor reviews.

3. Cross-Functional Coordination & Process Optimization

  • Liaison Leadership: Facilitate seamless communication between Procurement, Finance, and Program teams to ensure all grant-funded activities are documented and strategically aligned.

  • Reporting Excellence: Support project teams in the timely submission of high-quality narrative and financial reports.

  • Tool Innovation: Proactively update and improve templates, tracking tools, and workflows to increase the efficiency of the Grants & Contracts unit.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience

  • Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years in grant or contract support, specifically within the NGO or donor-funded sector.

  • Donor IQ: Strong familiarity with regulations from major donors like the Gates Foundation, EU, or FCDO/DFID.

  • Tech Stack: Proficiency in NetSuite, Google Workspace, and project management tools like Asana.

Preferred Certifications

  • Professional certifications in Accounting (ICAN/ACCA), Project Management (PMP), or Grants Management are highly desired.
