Job Description:
We are seeking a high-precision Senior Accountant to serve as a cornerstone of our financial operations. In this role, you won't just be "keeping the books"—you will own the integrity of our financial data during a period of rapid scaling. From mastering the month-end close to navigating the complexities of SaaS revenue recognition and international tax compliance, you will provide the visibility our leadership needs to make strategic decisions. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a "zero-error" mindset who is ready to transition into broader finance leadership responsibilities within a dynamic, high-growth environment.
Requirements:
1. Month-End Mastery & Financial Reporting
Close Process Ownership: Lead the end-to-end month-end close process, including complex journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and detailed variance analysis.
Reporting Excellence: Prepare monthly financial statements and management reporting packages that translate raw data into actionable business insights.
Audit & Compliance: Coordinate annual audits as the primary liaison, preparing high-quality workpapers and ensuring total alignment with GAAP and internal controls.
2. SaaS Operations & Revenue Integrity
Subscription Accounting: Apply advanced technical knowledge of SaaS revenue recognition and accrual accounting to ensure accurate reporting of recurring revenue streams.
Accounts Governance: Oversee daily AP/AR activities, ensuring seamless invoice processing, vendor management, and expense reviews through tools like Ramp and Stripe.
Global Tax Compliance: Support international tax filings, managing the nuances of VAT, GST, and Sales Tax across multiple jurisdictions to ensure de-risked global operations.
3. Systems & Technical Leadership
Tool Optimization: Leverage hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online, Stripe, and automated spend platforms to streamline financial workflows.
Financial Modeling: Utilize advanced Excel proficiency (complex formulas and templates) to build supporting schedules and documentation for balance sheet accounts.
Cross-Functional Communication: Serve as a financial advisor to non-finance stakeholders, explaining complex concepts with clarity and influence.
Qualifications and Skills:
The Ideal Profile
Experience: 3–5 years of full-cycle accounting experience, specifically owning the month-end close.
Sector Expertise: Prior experience in SaaS or high-growth subscription businesses is strongly preferred.
Technical Rigor: Expert knowledge of GAAP, accrual accounting, and complex reconciliations.
Language: Fluency in English (CEFR C2 / ILR 5 level).
Tools: Mastery of Excel and experience with QBO, Stripe, or Ramp.
Core Competencies
Detail Obsession: An uncompromising eye for accuracy and organizational structure.
Proactive Accountability: A self-motivated "owner" who anticipates deadlines and identifies process improvements.
Coachability: A growth mindset with the desire to expand into finance leadership.
Bonus Qualifications
CPA Designation (or currently pursuing).
Experience with international VAT/GST compliance.
