Job Description:

We are seeking a meticulous and high-integrity Account and Treasury Officer to anchor our core accounting and liquidity operations in Lagos. In a fast-paced financial environment, success is defined by "Transaction Fidelity", the ability to maintain a perfectly reconciled general ledger while ensuring the seamless flow of company funds and 100% adherence to statutory tax timelines. This role is designed for a "Fiscal Guardian" who can blend "Precise Ledger Management" with the "Operational Grit" required to navigate banking platforms and government tax offices.

Your mission is to ensure "Zero-Variance Reconciliation and Absolute Regulatory Compliance." You will be a primary driver of the month-end closure process: responsible for Orion system postings, managing complex bank reconciliations, and securing vital approvals for corporate disbursements. If you possess "Audit-Ready Discipline," experience with Zenith Internet Banking, and a deep understanding of Nigerian Tax Laws (VAT, WHT, PAYE), we want you to drive our financial excellence.

Requirements:

1. Liquidity & Bank Orchestration

• Reconciliation Mastery: Manage the end-to-end General Ledger and Bank reconciliation process, ensuring every kobo is accounted for ahead of month-end closures.

• Payment Governance: Oversee the upload of payments and cheques on the Zenith Internet Banking portal, coordinating the multi-level verification and approval flow from the Finance Manager to the CEO.

• Treasury Verification: Facilitate cash and bank confirmations to maintain a high-fidelity "Source of Truth" for the company’s liquidity position.

2. Statutory Compliance & Tax Stewardship

• Regulatory Fidelity: Lead the processing and filing of VAT and Withholding Tax (WHT) at relevant tax offices, ensuring the company remains in good standing.

• Statutory Obligations: Manage the timely calculation and remittance of PAYE, Pension, NSITF, and National Housing Fund (NHF) to avoid penalties and legal friction.

• Audit Readiness: Maintain a robust account filing system, ensuring all financial records are organized and accessible for internal and external reviews.

3. Operational Posting & Petty Cash Management

• System Integrity (Orion): Process high-volume postings including CCV, BPV, JV, CRV, BJV, and BRV, ensuring the Orion system accurately reflects the company's financial activities.

• Petty Cash Governance: Oversee petty cash reports and manage the reimbursement process for all outstations, ensuring field operations are never stalled by a lack of liquid funds.

• Inter-Departmental Synergy: Assist the Team Lead in monthly closings and account analysis, providing the data needed for high-level decision support.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Relevant Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.

• Experience: Proven experience in a treasury or general accounting role, specifically within the Lagos corporate environment.

• Technical Mastery: Proficiency in Orion Accounting Software and corporate banking portals (specifically Zenith Internet Banking).
