About Company:
The Famkris Healthcare Initiative (FHCI) is a leading non-governmental, non-profit, and non-political organization in Africa dedicated to providing free medical and surgical treatments for underserved communities across Africa, improving their health outcomes and standard of living
Job Description:
We are seeking a high-caliber and technically rigorous Finance & Administration Manager to anchor the SMEP program in Kogi State. In the landscape of donor-funded healthcare, success is defined by "Audit-Proof Integrity", the ability to harmonize complex budget tracking with the strict compliance frameworks of multilateral donors. This role is designed for a Chartered Accountant with 10+ years of experience who can blend "Precision Grant Management" with the "Strategic Oversight" required to lead administrative and HR operations.
Your mission is to ensure "Zero-Risk Financial Management and Total Program Support." You will be the primary steward of the program’s fiscal health: responsible for QuickBooks integrity, statutory remittance sovereignty, and the mentorship of a multidisciplinary finance and admin team. If you possess "Global Fund Compliance Mastery," a data-driven approach to budget variances, and the leadership grit to manage a donor-funded ecosystem, we want you to drive our operational excellence.
Requirements:
1. Grant Engineering & Budgetary Control
Financial Reporting Sovereignty: Coordinate and prepare donor-grade financial reports, ensuring they are submitted with 100% accuracy and punctuality.
Variance Intelligence: Track project expenditures against approved budgets, developing custom monitoring tools to provide the program team with actionable financial analysis.
Grant Lifecycle Management: Oversee the end-to-end grant process, from cash projections and journal reviews to the rigorous documentation required for final grant closure.
2. Compliance & Fiduciary Governance
Donor Policy Guardianship: Serve as the focal point for all compliance matters, ensuring that every transaction aligns with Famkris and donor-specific regulations (e.g., Global Fund).
Audit Readiness: Maintain a "Perpetual Audit" state by ensuring all financial records are impeccably documented and filed for internal and external scrutiny.
Working Capital Optimization: Conduct sophisticated aging analysis for receivables and payables, ensuring timely liquidation of staff advances and minimal outstanding vendor balances.
3. Systems, Admin & Human Capital Leadership
QuickBooks Stewardship: Ensure the general ledger and trial balance are accurate through rigorous review of all postings and cost allocation policies.
Administrative Architecture: Provide oversight for procurement and office operations, reviewing policies to improve internal controls and drive down operational costs.
Talent Mentorship: Supervise and coach the finance and admin staff, conducting performance reviews and closing capacity gaps to ensure the team meets the high-pressure demands of the SMEP program.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Certification: Chartered Accountant qualification is essential (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent).
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, with at least 7 years dedicated to donor-funded or multilateral projects in Africa.
Technical Mastery: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks. Demonstrated experience in auditing and reporting within donor compliance frameworks.
Core Competencies
Analytical Grit: Ability to solve complex financial problems and provide insights into budget variances.
Leadership Prowess: Proven track record of supervising diverse teams and managing HR performance systems.
Operational Mobility: Willingness to travel (minimum 10%) within the project scope in Kogi State.
