Job Description:

We are seeking a competent and compassionate X-Ray Technician to join our clinical team in Lagos. In this role, you will be responsible for operating medical imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring the utmost safety and care for our patients. We are looking for a professional who is dedicated to clinical excellence and possesses the "bedside manner" required to make patients feel comfortable during imaging procedures.

The ideal candidate is technically proficient, detail-oriented, and ready to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Requirements:

Imaging & Technical Operations

• Radiographic Procedures: Perform X-ray examinations as requested by physicians, ensuring accurate positioning of patients to obtain the best diagnostic results.

• Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain X-ray machines and related imaging equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and calibrated correctly.

• Image Quality: Review processed images to ensure they are clear and meet the required diagnostic standards before submission to the Radiologist.

Patient Care & Safety

• Patient Support: Greet and attend to patients with genuine care, explaining the procedure clearly to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation.

• Radiation Safety: Strictly adhere to safety protocols, including the use of lead aprons and shields, to protect patients and staff from unnecessary radiation exposure.

• Confidentiality: Maintain accurate patient records and ensure the confidentiality of all medical information.

Operational Support

• Efficiency: Manage patient flow effectively to minimize wait times without compromising the quality of care.

• Collaboration: Work closely with the medical team to ensure seamless communication regarding patient needs and urgent imaging results.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience

• Qualification: Relevant certification or diploma in Radiography or Medical Imaging Technology.

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience as an X-ray Technician.

• Competency: Proven ability to operate modern X-ray equipment and process digital or film-based images.
