Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate, highly skilled, and licensed Medical Doctor (Physician) to join our clinical team. In this role, you will be responsible for the comprehensive care of our patients, spanning diagnosis, treatment, and long-term wellness. You will serve as a primary advocate for patient health, utilizing evidence-based medicine to manage acute and chronic conditions while leading a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

The ideal candidate possesses exceptional clinical judgment, a commitment to medical ethics, and the ability to communicate complex medical information with empathy and clarity.

Requirements:

Diagnosis & Clinical Management

  • Patient Evaluation: Conduct thorough physical examinations, evaluate symptoms, and review detailed medical histories to establish accurate diagnoses.

  • Treatment Planning: Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.

  • Pharmacology: Prescribe appropriate medications, monitor for adverse effects, and adjust dosages based on patient progress and clinical outcomes.

Diagnostic Oversight & Procedures

  • Laboratory & Imaging: Order and interpret essential diagnostic tests, including X-rays, blood panels, CT/MRI scans, and ultrasounds.

  • Medical Interventions: Perform necessary medical procedures and minor surgeries (or specialized surgeries, depending on your area of expertise) in accordance with hospital protocols.

Preventive Medicine & Wellness

  • Patient Education: Counsel patients on healthy lifestyle practices, including nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention strategies.

  • Public Health: Promote wellness initiatives and preventive screenings to reduce the long-term incidence of chronic diseases.

Documentation & Interdisciplinary Collaboration

  • Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous, up-to-date electronic and physical patient records, ensuring all documentation meets legal and ethical standards.

  • Team Leadership: Collaborate seamlessly with nurses, specialists, and laboratory technicians to provide holistic and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Training

  • Medical Degree: Completion of a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from an accredited institution.

  • Undergraduate: Possession of a relevant Bachelor’s Degree (Pre-Med, Sciences, or related).

  • Residency: Successful completion of a supervised clinical residency program (3–7 years depending on specialization).

Licensure & Certification

  • MDCN Registration: Must be fully licensed and registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) with a current practicing license.

  • Specialization: (If applicable) Fellowship or board certification in a specific specialty (e.g., Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Surgery).
