Job Description:

We are seeking a high-energy and technically proficient Medical Sales Specialist to drive the growth of our healthcare and hygiene portfolio. In this role, you will act as a critical bridge between our products and the medical community, detailing complex product benefits to doctors, pharmacists, and hospital administrators. You will be responsible for expanding our market share through strategic relationship management, scientific detailing, and a relentless focus on achieving sales excellence within your assigned territory.

The ideal candidate combines a strong background in the life sciences with a proven track record in pharmaceutical or hygiene sales and the persuasive skills necessary to influence clinical adoption.

Requirements:

Product Detailing & Market Awareness

  • Clinical Detailing: Promote and provide in-depth technical information on the company’s healthcare and hygiene products to doctors, pharmacists, and medical institutions.

  • Presentations: Organize and lead medical seminars, clinical presentations, and product launches to educate healthcare professionals on product benefits, usage, and safety profiles.

  • Field Engagement: Execute regular field visits to hospitals and clinics to drive product awareness and ensure our solutions are the preferred choice for practitioners.

Sales & Territory Management

  • Target Achievement: Meet and exceed assigned sales targets and KPIs to expand the company’s market footprint.

  • Stakeholder Management: Build and nurture high-trust relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within the healthcare ecosystem.

  • Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activities, pricing shifts, and emerging market trends to provide the company with a competitive edge.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Data Management: Maintain meticulous records of customer interactions, sales activities, and market feedback using CRM tools.

  • Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all promotional activities strictly comply with industry regulations and the company’s ethical standards.

  • Strategic Reporting: Prepare and submit periodic sales forecasts and performance reports to management, providing actionable insights for territory growth.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience

  • Degree: Minimum of a B.Sc. in Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or any related Life Science field.

  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience specifically in medical, pharmaceutical, or hygiene product sales.

  • Credentials: A valid driver’s license is mandatory for frequent field travel.

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of hygiene products and the Nigerian healthcare landscape.

  • Persuasion & Negotiation: Exceptional communication and presentation skills with a proven ability to influence and close sales.

  • Digital Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using CRM software to track sales pipelines.
