Job Description:

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily store operations including opening and closing procedures
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Manage inventory levels, stock rotation, and product placement
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for timely deliveries
  • Implement and maintain store policies and procedures
  • Monitor and optimize store layout for maximum efficiency and sales

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise department managers and staff
  • Create and manage work schedules to ensure adequate coverage
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth
  • Handle employee relations issues and disciplinary actions when necessary
  • Lead by example in customer service and professional conduct

Financial Management

  • Develop and manage store budgets and financial targets
  • Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue

REPORTS TO Managing Director

This position requires a committed professional who can balance operational efficiency with exceptional customer service while leading and developing a diverse team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail excellence and the drive to contribute to our continued growth and success.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of retail management experience, preferably in grocery or supermarket environment
  • Proven track record of managing large teams (50+ employees)
  • Experience with profit and loss management

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Financial acumen and analytical thinking
  • Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Knowledge of retail operations, inventory management, and merchandising
  • Proficiency in retail management software and POS systems
