SOCIAL MEDIA OFFICER AT ELIZABETH MADDEUX LIMITED | SOCIAL MEDIA JOBS IN LAGOS

Egbeda, Lagos, Nigeria | Posted on 30/01/2026

About Company:

Elizabeth Maddeux Limited, in the pharmaceutical industry, is recruiting to fill the position above.

Job Description:

We are seeking a Social Media Officer who understands that in the pharmaceutical world, a post is more than just content—it is a regulated health communication. You will be the digital voice of a reputable pharmaceutical brand, responsible for creating engaging, educational, and high-impact content while navigating the strict guardrails of NAFDAC and ethical advertising standards.

This role is perfect for a creative storyteller who is also a "compliance champion." You will bridge the gap between complex medical information and accessible public health education, ensuring that every like, share, and comment contributes to a trustworthy and reputable brand presence.

Requirements:

1. Compliant Content Architecture

  • Regulatory First: Design and schedule content that adheres to NAFDAC and industry advertising codes. You will ensure zero unapproved product claims or misleading health information.

  • Creative Education: Translate scientific and health data into visually compelling and informative social media posts that support public health awareness.

  • Approval Workflow: Manage the "internal-to-regulatory" pipeline, collaborating with Medical and Regulatory Affairs teams to ensure 100% of content is vetted before going live.

2. Community Governance & Pharmacovigilance

  • Ethical Engagement: Respond to inquiries with professional precision, maintaining the brand’s ethical standing in every interaction.

  • Risk Detection: Monitor comments for mentions of Adverse Events (AE) or side effects, escalating them immediately in accordance with pharmacovigilance (PV) protocols.

  • Sentiment Monitoring: Actively track brand mentions and online sentiment to protect the organization’s reputation and flag potential crisis risks early.

3. Analytics & Growth Strategy

  • Performance Tracking: Utilize social media management tools to monitor reach, impressions, and engagement rates, providing data-driven recommendations for improvement.

  • Reporting: Prepare periodic performance reports that go beyond surface metrics to provide actionable insights into audience behavior and campaign impact.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Pharmacy, or Life Sciences.

  • Experience: 1–3 years in social media management, with a strong preference for candidates from Healthcare, Pharma, or FMCG.

  • Regulatory IQ: A basic understanding of pharmaceutical marketing regulations is a significant advantage.

  • Tech Stack: Proficiency in social media management tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, etc.) and design tools (Canva, Adobe Express).

Core Competencies

  • Copywriting Mastery: Ability to write clear, persuasive, and medically accurate copy.

  • Ethical Mindset: An uncompromising commitment to confidentiality and compliance standards.

  • Creative Detail: An eagle eye for both visual aesthetics and factual accuracy.
