Job Description:
- The Social Media Manager / Content Creator will be responsible for developing and executing Talent Code Africa’s digital communication and content strategy across all social media platforms. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller with strong design and video editing skills, capable of producing engaging, high-quality content that drives brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation.
- This role requires hands-on expertise in Canva, CapCut, sponsored ads management, and digital marketing analytics.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy & Management:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Manage and grow all social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).
- Plan and maintain a content calendar for consistent and strategic posting.
- Monitor trends and industry conversations to keep the brand relevant and competitive.
- Create compelling, visually appealing, and engaging content (graphics, carousels, reels, short-form videos, testimonials, educational posts, etc.).
- Translate organizational programs, events, and impact stories into relatable digital narratives.
- Script, edit, and publish high-quality video content using CapCut and other editing tools.
- Develop audience targeting strategies to drive engagement, registrations, and conversions.
- Monitor campaign performance metrics
- Provide monthly analytics reports and data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Conduct A/B testing to improve ad performance and content reach.
- Manage digital communication for programs, partnerships, events, and announcements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to capture stories, achievements, and impact outcomes.
- Ensure alignment of messaging with Talent Code Africa’s mission and strategic objectives.
- Support employer branding and recruitment marketing initiatives through digital storytelling.
- Track KPIs and provide weekly/monthly performance reports.
- Analyze engagement, audience growth, and conversion data.
- Use insights to refine content strategy and improve digital performance.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Growth in social media followers and engagement rate
- Lead generation and conversion metrics from digital campaigns
- Campaign ROI and ad performance benchmarks
- Brand visibility and content reach
- Quality and consistency of content delivery.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Canva (graphic design & brand templates)
- Strong video editing skills using CapCut (or similar tools)
- Strong storytelling and content writing skills
- Expertise in digital marketing and sponsored ads management
- Understanding of social media algorithms and content optimization
- Strong communication and copywriting skills
- Creative thinking and visual storytelling ability
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Digital Marketing, or related field (preferred).
- 2–3 years proven experience managing social media for a brand or organization.
- Experience running successful paid advertising campaigns.
- Experience in education, technology, or talent development sector is an advantage.
Salary
