Job Description:

Artisan Connect is on a mission to empower Nigeria’s skilled tradespeople, and we need a creative Social Media & Community Growth Manager to be our voice. This is a high-impact, founding-team role (1 of 3) focused on one goal: generating pre-launch buzz and securing 1,000–2,000 beta testers.

You won't just be "posting content"; you will be building a movement. You’ll alternate between high-level ad strategy on Meta and grassroots networking in artisan WhatsApp groups. If you understand the heartbeat of Naija’s informal sector and know how to turn a "Like" into a "Sign-up," we want you to help us build this platform from the ground up.

Requirements:

1. Multi-Platform Growth & Engagement

  • X (Twitter) Mastery: Develop and schedule 7+ weekly posts, using teasers, polls, and cultural storytelling (e.g., "Naija Artisan Stories") to drive reach.

  • Grassroots Community Building: Embed yourself in Facebook groups and WhatsApp communities. You will build real relationships with artisans and users, promoting the beta program through value-driven conversation rather than spam.

  • Content Alchemy: Use Canva to design high-quality graphics and collaborate on a content calendar that balances artisan tips with high-conversion Calls to Action (CTAs).

2. Paid Acquisition & Performance Marketing

  • Meta Ads Management: Set up and optimize targeted Facebook and Instagram ads focusing on niche interests like "Home Maintenance," "Small Business Owners," and "Nigerian Culture."

  • A/B Testing: Implement a data-driven approach to creative assets—testing cultural themes against problem-solving themes to see what drives the lowest Cost-Per-Acquisition (CPA).

  • Analytics & Iteration: Track impressions, clicks, and sign-ups daily; provide weekly reports that influence our overall launch strategy.

3. Brand Advocacy & Outreach

  • Artisan Outreach: Chat directly with potential users and artisans to understand their pain points and sell the vision of Artisan Connect.

  • Relationship Management: Respond to every comment and query across platforms, ensuring the brand feels human, accessible, and professional.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Experience: 1–3 years in social media management, ideally for a startup or a local Nigerian brand.

  • Technical Stack: Proficient in Meta Ads Manager, Canva, and scheduling tools like Buffer/Hootsuite.

  • Culture IQ: Deep understanding of Nigerian artisan trades and the ability to communicate authentically in English and local nuances.

Core Competencies

  • Data-Driven Mindset: Ability to read analytics and pivot strategy based on what the numbers say.

  • Proactive Networking: A natural "people person" who can moderate communities and build trust quickly.

  • Reliability: Nigeria-based for time zone alignment with consistent, high-speed internet access.
