Job Description:
We are seeking a high-energy, versatile IT Support Officer to manage the technology backbone of our operations. In the fast-paced world of hospitality and corporate services, downtime is not an option. Your mission is to provide proactive maintenance, rapid troubleshooting, and strategic system integration to ensure our hardware, software, and networks operate at 100% efficiency.
This role is tailored for a technical problem-solver who is comfortable with both high-level ERP support and hands-on hardware repairs. You will oversee everything from LAN/WLAN monitoring and PBX support to CCTV management and firewall security. If you have a background in Hotel IT systems (Opera/Micros) and are willing to go the extra mile during peak seasons, we want you on our team.
Requirements:
1. Infrastructure & Network Management
Connectivity Excellence: Set up, monitor, and optimize LAN/WLAN environments to ensure zero connectivity issues for staff and guests.
Hardware Lifecycle: Diagnose and repair desktops, laptops, and printing systems; manage racks, cabling, and IP phone/intercom systems.
Security & Defense: Hands-on management of routers, switches, and gateways (Cyberoam, Sophos XG), including monitoring Firewall, IPS, and IDS protocols.
2. Software & Systems Support
Hospitality Systems: Act as the primary technical point for Opera PMS and Micros, ensuring these business-critical programs are always functional.
Enterprise Mail: Configure and troubleshoot Outlook, mobile mail, and Office 365/Microsoft Exchange environments.
ERP & Productivity: Provide frontline support for ERP systems (knowledge of Navision/Microsoft Dynamics is a plus) and internal software sharing.
3. Operational Continuity & User Support
Rapid Response: Provide staff with immediate assistance for software malfunctions and program errors, making critical technical decisions to restore service.
System Integration: Continuously update information systems to increase cross-departmental compatibility and data sharing.
Flexible Support: Lead technical preparations and support during festive seasons and weekend operations to ensure business continuity.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (relevant experience is highly valued).
Experience: 1–2 years of relevant IT support experience. Hotel IT background is highly preferable.
Technical Skills: Experience with Opera, Micros, Sophos XG, and CCTV/IP Phone systems.
Critical Constraints & Conditions
Age & Status: Must not be above 26 years old. Role is suited for single applicants.
Work Schedule: Must be willing to work 6 days weekly, including Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Peak Seasons: Flexibility to work odd hours during festive periods.
