Job Description:

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures in alignment with local laws and industry best practices.

• Conduct regular workplace inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and verify compliance with safety standards.

• Deliver safety training and orientation sessions covering emergency response, hazard communication, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Keep abreast of evolving safety regulations and standards to ensure ongoing compliance.

• Manage pest control activities and coordinate with pest control service providers.

• Communicate safety policies, updates, and initiatives clearly through meetings, memos, and training.

• Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses; perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.

• Maintain detailed and accurate safety documentation, including inspection reports, incident logs, and training records.

• Conduct risk assessments and assist with implementing preventive and corrective measures to mitigate workplace hazards.

• Collaborate with external safety consultants, auditors, and regulatory bodies during safety inspections and audits.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications or additional experience are a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar health and safety role.
• Basic understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Food Safety standards such as FSSC 22000.
• Strong knowledge of local safety regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
• Proficient in hazard identification, risk assessment, and implementing effective control measures.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for investigating incidents and driving improvements.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and manage time efficiently.
• Skilled in using safety reporting tools, data analysis software, and maintaining accurate safety records.
