About Company:

Job Description:

We are seeking a vigilant and proactive HSE Officer to lead our site safety and environmental compliance function. This is a critical role for a professional who understands that safety is not just a checklist, but a core operational value.

As the HSE Officer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end implementation of health and safety standards. You will bridge the gap between regulatory requirements and daily on-site execution—ensuring technicians are protected, equipment is certified, and hazardous waste is managed with precision. If you have 3–5 years of experience and a passion for zero-harm environments, we invite you to lead our safety mission.

Requirements:

1. Safety Architecture & Standardization

  • Program Development: Compile and standardize organization-wide safety programs to ensure consistent application of health and safety protocols across all sites.

  • Regulatory Governance: Maintain absolute compliance with all local and international safety regulations, acting as the primary custodian of relevant registers and compliance documentation.

  • Waste Management: Identify hazardous waste materials and execute disposal strategies that align with environmental standards and legal requirements.

2. Operational Oversight & Technical Monitoring

  • Site Inspections: Conduct regular, rigorous inspections of equipment and site conditions to identify and mitigate latent risks before they escalate.

  • Technician Supervision: Monitor technical teams on-ground to ensure 100% adherence to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and safe working techniques.

  • Asset Readiness: Maintain and audit equipment registers to ensure all tools are certified for safe operation and preventive maintenance is up to date.

3. Safety Culture & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Toolbox Leadership: Conduct regular "Toolbox Meetings" to share best practices, discuss near-misses, and foster a culture of proactive safety among employees.

  • Employee Relations: Establish cordial and professional relationships with the workforce, serving as a trusted advisor for safety concerns and procedural clarity.

  • Administrative Excellence: Document all staff information, meeting minutes, and safety incidents, providing structured reports to management to guide strategic decision-making.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in a relevant field (Science, Engineering, or Occupational Health).

  • Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on work experience in HSE roles, preferably in a technical or industrial environment.

  • Certifications: Professional certification in HSE (Level 1-3), ISO 45001, or NEBOSH is a significant advantage.

Core Competencies

  • Hazard Identification: Acute ability to spot risks that others might overlook.

  • Reporting Skills: Proficiency in compiling technical safety reports and maintaining meticulous registers.

  • Leadership: The confidence to enforce safety protocols even in high-pressure production environments.

  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate effective toolbox talks and management briefings.
