EIA Execution: Implement and maintain the project’s Environmental Management System (EMS) in line with approved project reports and ISO 14001:2015 standards.
Resource Governance: Monitor housekeeping and material storage at all construction sites to prevent soil contamination and ecological disruption.
2. Waste Management & Remediation
Site-Level Waste Control: Oversee the end-to-end waste management process, ensuring proper segregation, storage, and disposal of industrial and hazardous waste generated during construction.
Emergency Preparedness: Conduct and lead environmental drills (e.g., spill response) and supervise remediation efforts where necessary to mitigate accidental environmental impact.
3. Leadership & Reporting Excellence
Mentorship: Provide professional leadership, coaching, and mentoring to Environmental Trainees, fostering a culture of "Goal Zero" safety and professionalism.
Data-Driven Reporting: Compile and deliver precise daily and weekly reports on project environmental performance, ensuring a transparent record-keeping system for the Environmental Coordinator.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: B.Sc. in Environmental Science or a related discipline.
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of HSE working experience specifically within the Oil and Gas Industry.
Contract Status: This is a contract position based in Abuja.

ISPON Certification: HSE Level 3 (Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria).
EMS Standards: Awareness/Certification in ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management Systems).
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) reports and mitigation strategies for large-scale pipeline projects.
Leadership: Ability to coach trainees and manage on-site environmental activities under minimal supervision.
