Job Description:

Mshel Media is seeking a visionary and high-impact Managing Director to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for our media subsidiary. This is a pivotal role requiring a blend of creative mastery, business acumen, and broadcast expertise. You will be responsible for driving multi-channel revenue growth, overseeing high-quality content production, and ensuring that every campaign is both innovative and fully compliant with ARCON regulations. As the face of Mshel Media, you will also be a key voice in our broadcasting activities, bringing a high standard of professionalism to news presentation and corporate storytelling.

Requirements:

1. Strategic Leadership & Business Growth

• Executive Vision: Develop and implement the overarching business plan, growth strategies, and annual budgets for Mshel Media.

• Revenue Innovation: Drive revenue generation across advertising, broadcasting, and digital media by creating competitive products, commercial packages, and pricing structures.

• Business Development: Identify high-value business opportunities and lead the agency in pitching and winning new client accounts.

2. Creative Direction & Broadcast Excellence

• Content Oversight: Lead the development of premium media assets, including documentaries, animations, and branded storytelling.

• News & Broadcasting: Oversee all live shows and news bulletins. As a senior leader, you will be expected to anchor news programs when necessary and approve all scripts, headlines, and broadcast materials.

• Campaign Management: Supervise creative directors and editors to ensure all media output aligns with client brand identities and Mshel Media’s standards of excellence.

3. Regulatory Compliance & Governance

• ARCON Stewardship: Ensure all advertising content and media activities strictly adhere to ARCON regulatory standards and ethical guidelines.

• Risk & PR Management: Oversee public relations and crisis communication strategies to protect and enhance the company's public image.

• Performance Reporting: Provide detailed monthly financial and operational performance reports to the Group Managing Director and the Board.

Qualifications and Skills:

Mandatory Credentials

• Certification: ARCON Certification is mandatory.

• Tenure: 7–10 years of senior-level experience in media production, advertising, or creative direction.

• Broadcast Skill: Proven experience in news presentation and anchoring.

Education & Technical Skills

• Academic Background: Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Media Studies, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is highly advantageous.

• Sector Expertise: Deep knowledge of advertising standards, digital content trends, and the Nigerian media regulatory framework.

• Leadership: Proven ability to mentor creative teams and manage large-scale multi-million naira campaigns.
