Job Description:

  • With over a decade, we are growing our team and currently seeking a Business Development Officer to join our expanding workforce.
  • The Business Development Specialist is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and supporting the company’s growth through strategic sales, client engagement, and market research.
  • The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills, a results-driven approach, and a strategic mindset to expand the organization’s customer base and revenue streams.

Employee’s Duties & Responsibilities
Identifying Business Opportunities:

  • Research industry trends, markets and competitors to identify new opportunities.
  • Analyse customer needs and ensure solutions are tailored to meet business objectives and needs.
  • Research and recommend conferences, events and seminars that will be beneficial to the growth and development of the company.

Lead Generation and Conversion:

  • Develop schedule for managing lead communication and follow-ups on potential clients.
  • Follow-up on leads generated via cold calls, emails, physical visits and ensure they are converted to actual clients.
  • Follow up on leads and conduct client meetings to understand their requirements.
  • Build customer satisfaction by providing support and resolving issues promptly.
  • Build and maintain long term relationship with new and existing customers.

Sales & Planning:

  • Prepare proposals, presentations and business pitches for prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team and other departments to develop promotional materials for campaigns, seminars, conferences and social media platforms.
  • Negotiate terms of business deals and close sales effectively.
  • Coordinate with the legal and finance team to ensure smooth onboarding of clients.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Management, or any other related field of study.
  • 1 - 3 years experience as a business development officer in a logistics company.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Time management and organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of emotional intelligence.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and Microsoft office suite.
