Job Description:
- We are seeking a proactive and strategic Business Development Manager to join our dynamic fintech sales team.
- This role is responsible for driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, overseeing the onboarding of merchants, and ensuring consistent revenue generation through effective team leadership and relationship management.
- The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, a results-oriented mindset, and the ability to lead Business Development Executives (BDEs) to meet set performance goals.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to meet and exceed sales and revenue targets.
- Supervise and support BDEs to ensure the successful onboarding of high-potential merchants and deployment of POS terminals.
- Monitor daily field operations to ensure BDEs regularly visit merchant locations for transaction tracking and prompt issue resolution.
- Drive achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs), including transaction volume, value, merchant retention, and overall revenue growth.
- Ensure all BDEs consistently meet their targets for merchant acquisition and transaction performance.
- Reactivate inactive merchant accounts through strategic engagement, follow-up calls, and on-site visits.
- Develop and implement impactful sales strategies and initiatives to boost customer acquisition and product adoption.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with clients by understanding their business needs and ensuring satisfaction with deployed solutions.
- Conduct regular market intelligence and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for expansion.
- Stay informed on evolving fintech and payment industry trends to support agile and informed decision-making.
- Provide accurate and timely reports on team performance, market activity, and revenue forecasts to senior management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4–6 years' experience in business development, sales, or merchant acquisition—preferably in fintech, agency banking, or digital payments.
- Proven ability to lead sales teams and meet revenue targets.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficient in MS Excel and CRM or sales tracking tools.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and adaptable to a fast-paced fintech environment.
