Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and veteran Automation Engineer to serve as the technical lead for our manufacturing control systems. In this role, you will be responsible for the "brains" of our production environment—designing, programming, and optimizing the automated systems that drive our efficiency, reliability, and safety.

With at least 10 years of experience, you are a master of high-speed manufacturing environments. You possess deep, hands-on expertise in PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems, particularly within the specialized ecosystems of Krones, Sidel, and KHS. If you are a problem-solver who thrives on minimizing downtime through advanced instrumentation and digital transformation, we want you to lead our automation strategy.

Requirements:

1. Systems Programming & Optimization

• Logic & Control: Design, program, and maintain advanced PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and SCADA systems to ensure seamless production flow across utilities and lines.

• Process Optimization: Continuously tune and optimize control loops to improve overall plant productivity, energy efficiency, and product consistency.

• HMI Design: Develop and maintain intuitive Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) that empower operators with real-time data and diagnostic capabilities.

2. Technical Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Rapid Fault Resolution: Lead high-level troubleshooting of complex automation faults to minimize mean time to repair (MTTR) and reduce production downtime.

• Preventive Excellence: Implement and oversee rigorous preventive maintenance schedules for instrumentation, sensors, and control hardware.

• Electrical Integrity: Maintain and update precise electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, ensuring all process changes are documented to global standards.

3. Projects & Digital Transformation

• Commissioning & Validation: Drive the installation and commissioning of new automation assets and equipment upgrades, ensuring full compliance with safety and quality validation.

• Vendor Management: Leverage your expertise in Krones, Sidel, and KHS systems to manage OEM relationships and technical upgrades effectively.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Production and Maintenance teams to identify bottleneck areas and deploy automated solutions that enhance total plant performance.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: First Degree (B.Sc./HND) in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in process automation within a manufacturing or production environment.

• Technical Specialty: Proven experience with Krones, Sidel, or KHS machinery is mandatory.

Core Competencies

• Programming Mastery: Advanced proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens TIA Portal, Allen Bradley, etc.) and SCADA configuration.

• Instrumentation: Deep understanding of industrial sensors, transmitters, and control valves.

• Schematic Reading: Expert ability to interpret and design complex electrical and pneumatic schematics.

• Project Management: Ability to lead technical teams through the lifecycle of an automation upgrade or new installation.
