Job Description:
We are seeking a high-velocity and analytically disciplined Assistant Legal Officer to anchor the legal operations at 3CHUB. In a fast-paced retail and technology environment, success is defined by "Contractual Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize complex legal drafting with the clinical precision required for litigation monitoring, insurance management, and multi-state stakeholder diplomacy. This role is designed for a "Legal Architect in Training" with 1–3 years of experience who can blend "Jurisprudential Grit" (research and drafting) with the "Operational Agility" required to coordinate with landlords and government agencies outside Lagos.
Requirements:
1. Documentation Orchestration & Drafting Sovereignty
Agreement Architecture: Draft, review, and manage contracts and agreements across all business units with millimetric precision, ensuring they are "Source of Truth" documents compliant with Nigerian law.
Fidelity Review: Conduct clinical reviews of all official correspondence and legal filings to ensure they are accurate, properly documented, and protect the company’s commercial interests.
Policy Synthesis: Support management in reviewing internal procedures to ensure every operational workflow aligns synchronously with current legal and regulatory standards.
2. External Diplomacy & Stakeholder Governance
Inter-State Liaison: Serve as the primary professional bridge between 3CHUB and external parties, including landlords, regulatory bodies, and government agencies—extending operations beyond the Lagos corridor.
Representative Authority: Represent the company in external legal engagements as required, maintaining a "High-Fidelity" professional image in all stakeholder interactions.
Regulatory Navigation: Coordinate with government bodies to ensure all business permits and legal requirements are secured without operational bottlenecks.
3. Risk Mitigation & Asset Protection
Litigation Surveillance: Monitor and track the progress of all litigation matters with a "Zero-Gap" approach, maintaining exhaustive records and providing regular status updates to leadership.
Insurance Stewardship: Manage the lifecycle of insurance documentation and claims, following up on processes to ensure the company’s physical and financial assets are professionally de-risked.
Advisory Logic: Provide actionable legal research and guidance to help the organization navigate complex legal landscapes and maintain its "Compliance Sovereignty."
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognized institution.
Certification: Nigerian Law School Certificate (B.L.) is mandatory.
Experience: 1–3 years of robust legal experience (preferred), with a focus on corporate or commercial law.
Core Competencies
Research Grit: Exceptional ability to conduct deep legal research and synthesize findings into clear, actionable advice.
Communication Power: Elite written and verbal skills for drafting complex documents and engaging external stakeholders.
Organizational Integrity: High level of professionalism with the ethical discipline to manage sensitive and confidential data.
