Job Description:

We are seeking an exceptionally analytical, commercially astute, and high-velocity Supply Chain Manager to orchestrate our centralized procurement, inventory architecture, cold-chain logistics, and vendor networks. Operating within a fast-scaling multi-outlet hospitality environment, this role holds absolute strategic and operational accountability for our end-to-end culinary and material pipeline.

The ideal candidate bridges the gap between technical demand planning data models and high-stakes field procurement negotiations. You will be responsible for building a resilient, cost-optimized, and fully compliant supply engine that guarantees 100% menu item availability across all retail outlets. Your mission is to systematically eliminate material stockouts, minimize food waste/shrinkage, drive down total cost of ownership (TCO), and strictly enforce statutory food safety guidelines across our supplier and logistics ecosystem.

Requirements:

1. Strategic Procurement & High-Stakes Vendor Governance

• Supplier Network Engineering: Identify, vet, and onboard an elite panel of agricultural producers, food processing companies, packaging manufacturers, and corporate service vendors.

• Commercial Contract Architecture: Manage end-to-end tendering, competitive bidding, and contract negotiation cycles—locking in volume discounts, flexible credit windows, and rigid Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

• Cost Stewardship: Continually benchmark market rates, identify cost-leakages, and deploy sourcing strategies to insulate corporate profit margins from macroeconomic inflation and currency fluctuations.

• Supplier Performance Indexing: Regularly audit vendor metrics—tracking delivery lead-time deviations, product batch consistency, and financial compliance to clear out substandard partners.

2. Predictive Demand Planning & Inventory Control

• Stock Optimization: Develop, deploy, and audit advanced inventory control models to maintain the delicate balance between preventing retail outlet stockouts and avoiding expensive overstocking/spoilage.

• System Integration: Oversee the institutional lifecycle of inventory data using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, ensuring digital-twin accuracy across our central warehouses and store pantries.

• Waste Mitigation: Analyze historical outlet consumption patterns and sales metrics to forecast raw ingredient demands, aligning purchase volumes directly with seasonal kitchen run-rates.

3. Cold-Chain Logistics & Multi-Outlet Distribution

• Logistical Synchronization: Orchestrate the daily dispatch, transit routing, and cross-docking of perishable and non-perishable goods from central hubs to individual store outlets.

• Cold-Chain Preservation: Enforce strict technical monitoring of temperature-controlled distribution networks, ensuring frozen and chilled raw materials remain within strict thermal boundaries during transit.

• Emergency Routing: Architect agile backup transport protocols to bypass unpredicted transit delays, local infrastructure failures, or distribution bottlenecks, keeping outlet fulfillment rates flawless.

4. Food Safety, Regulatory Compliance & Documentation

• Sanitation Compliance: Partner closely with internal Executive Chefs and Quality Assurance/HSE teams to ensure all incoming food components meet national food safety, hygiene, and statutory benchmarks (e.g., NAFDAC, SON regulations).

• Airtight Documentation: Formulate and preserve immaculate physical and digital procurement records—safeguarding purchase requisitions, verified Purchase Orders (POs), delivery notes, and multi-year corporate contracts for regular executive and regulatory audits.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Academic Foundation

• Degree Baseline: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, or a strictly related quantitative management discipline from an accredited tertiary institution.

• Professional Edge: Active industry credentials—such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply), CILT (Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport), CISCOM, or Lean Six Sigma certifications—will be treated as a dominant competitive advantage.

Experience & Sector Footprint

• Domain Longevity: Minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive, verifiable experience operating in a core Supply Chain Management, Procurement Lead, or Category Bidding capacity.

• Sector Specialization: Direct, proven history managing the supply chains of a structured multi-outlet Restaurant chain, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) food brand, or premium Hospitality group is an absolute prerequisite.

Technical Competencies & Skill Matrix

• Analytical Software Fluency: Advanced command of Microsoft Excel (data modeling, cost trend charting, pivot tables) along with functional experience navigating enterprise ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or specialized restaurant supply chain portals).

• Sourcing Literacy: Master-level understanding of industrial tendering, multi-layered contract architecture, contract law parameters, and commercial vendor management models.

• Execution Dynamics: Elite negotiation abilities, high problem-solving velocity, sharp documentation habits, and the emotional resilience required to lead operations under intense multi-outlet market pressure.
