About Company:
Ascentech Services Limited is a full-fledged Human Resource Solution Provider incorporated in 2013 with its Head Office in Lagos, Nigeria. We are committed to forging long-term partnerships with our clients by creating and delivering robust and flexible services that address the changing needs of their business.
Job Description:
We are seeking a high-integrity, analytically rigorous, and investigative Inventory Control & Loss Prevention Manager to safeguard our corporate assets, retail inventories, and financial margins. Operating from our Victoria Island headquarters, you will take absolute strategic and operational ownership of our asset protection framework—bridging the gap between strict data-driven ERP inventory reconciliation and physical, boots-on-the-ground surveillance operations.
This is a senior position designed for an unyielding auditor who can systematically dismantle shrinkage, internal pilferage, process fraud, and operational waste across large-format retail outlets and central distribution hubs. You will lead high-frequency stock takes, audit end-to-end material movements (receiving to billing), manage security infrastructure, and build a culture of zero-compromise compliance.
Requirements:
1. Loss Prevention & Shrinkage Mitigation
Control Architecture: Formulate, roll out, and continuously audit robust loss prevention policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and physical security risk-mitigation measures.
Shrinkage Containment: Analyze and aggressively reduce inventory shrinkage, theft, product damage, point-of-sale fraud, and administrative operational leakage.
Forensic Investigation: Lead targeted investigations into stock discrepancies, suspected data manipulation, receipt voids, or internal collusion, maintaining detailed, legally sound incident case files.
Risk Auditing: Conduct unannounced site compliance checks, surprise audits, and dedicated shelf inspections, focusing heavily on high-value, high-velocity, and highly sensitive inventory lines.
2. Full-Scale Stock Take & Inventory Ledger Governance
Audit Execution: Plan, structure, and direct periodic physical stock counts, rolling cycle counts, and wall-to-wall physical inventories across all stores and warehouses.
Reconciliation Leadership: Supervise specialized stock-counting teams, ensuring absolute precision in material item tags, data capture, variance isolation, and macro ledger matching.
Root-Cause Diagnostics: Drill into inventory balance variances between physical counts and system balances, defining the exact operational breakdowns behind discrepancies and coordinating required recounts.
Lifecycle Classification: Oversee the proper quarantine, valuation recording, and structured write-off workflows for damaged, expired, obsolete, or near-dead stock lines.
3. Operational Control & Process Compliance
Supply Chain Auditing: Continuous inspection of the integrity of inbound receiving docks, inter-store stock transfers, vendor returns, customer exchange pathways, and outbound logistics dispatches.
Commercial Transaction Tracking: Audit point-of-sale (POS) logs—including employee billing metrics, staff discounts, manager override parameters, and line-item deletion patterns.
ERP Integrity Governance: Monitor real-time material logs across the enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform, verifying that all manual stock adjustments possess matching physical authorizations.
4. Security Architecture & Surveillance Oversight
Surveillance Management: Command our integrated CCTV network systems, monitoring camera angles, access control systems, and loss detection technical tools.
Agency Interfacing: Coordinate operational security efforts with corporate security managers, field floor monitors, and external security agencies to maintain tight facility security boundaries.
5. Business Intelligence & Team Development
KPI Dashboards: Compile and present comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly shrinkage velocity charts, stock accuracy indices, and loss dashboards to the executive board.
Workforce Upskilling: Allocate shift duties, track counter productivity metrics, and run mandatory inventory hygiene and fraud-awareness masterclasses for all store personnel.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Academic Framework
Degree Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative control discipline from an accredited tertiary institution.
Experience Parameters
Domain Longevity: 8 to 10 years of progressive, verifiable experience operating directly within large-format retail inventory control, multi-store stock auditing, loss prevention management, or large-scale warehouse operations.
Sector Footprint: Explicit history managing asset protection within structured, large-format supermarket chains, modern hypermarkets, multi-location retail distribution corporations, or mega-fulfillment centers is heavily preferred.
