Smartflow Technologies Limited, Nigeria’s leader in Flow and Level Automation, is seeking a high-caliber Technical Sales Executive to spearhead our expansion across Northern Nigeria. This is a strategic role for a "Sales Hunter" who combines deep technical knowledge with a sophisticated understanding of the Oil & Gas value chain.
Based in Abuja, you will be responsible for driving revenue across the region—from the supply and installation of fueling systems to advanced engineering support. This role requires more than just making sales; it requires building a dominant market presence through stakeholder engagement, technical solution pitching, and high-level networking. Requirements:
1. Revenue Generation & Lead Conversion
Full-Cycle Sales: Identify, engage, and close high-value enterprise leads, ensuring consistent achievement of the sales volume and revenue targets defined in the business plan.
Technical Pitching: Present complex automation and fueling solutions (Pumps, Dispensers, Level Automation) to technical and commercial decision-makers.
Proposal Mastery: Create and deliver bespoke technical proposals and quotes that address specific client pain points in the downstream and midstream sectors.
2. Territory & Market Development
Northern Regional Growth: Leverage your deep knowledge of Northern Nigeria to conduct regular market visits, check route coverage, and ensure the visibility of Smartflow solutions.
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the face of Smartflow at industry events, conferences, and tradeshows, building high-level relationships with key stakeholders in the Oil & Gas sector.
Competitor Intelligence: Monitor and report on competitor activities and market shifts to inform regional sales strategies.
3. Operational Excellence & Safety
CRM Governance: Maintain accurate and organized records of all sales activities and client interactions within the CRM system for management visibility.
Cross-Functional Synergy: Collaborate with Marketing and Engineering teams to align sales strategies with technical capabilities and regional awareness initiatives.
Safety Stewardship: Coordinate with the OHS coordinator to investigate reported incidents and ensure that all sales operations adhere to occupational health and safety standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ sales experience specifically in the Oil & Gas sector.
Territory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Northern Nigerian market and its commercial dynamics.
Network: An existing customer base in the relevant industry is a significant advantage.
Education: B.Sc. or HND in any relevant field.
Residency: Must be a resident of Abuja.
Technical & Behavioral Skills
Mobility: Willingness to travel across Northern Nigeria approximately 40% of the time.
Digital Literacy: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office packages for reporting and analysis.
Safety Awareness: Solid understanding of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) principles.
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a professional executive presence.
