Job Description:

Microbiological Analysis:

  • Conduct routine and specialized microbiological analyses on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
  • Utilize a variety of microbiological techniques, including culture, staining, and molecular methods.

 

Quality Assurance:

  • Monitor and assess microbial quality and safety of products through regular sampling and testing.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address any deviations from quality standards and recommend corrective actions.

 

Environmental Monitoring:

  • Implement and oversee environmental monitoring programs to ensure cleanliness and prevent contamination in production areas.
  • Investigate and address any microbiological issues in the production environment.

 

Documentation and Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of microbiological analyses, including data interpretation and trends.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing analysis results, deviations, and corrective actions.

 

Method Development and Validation:

  • Contribute to the development and validation of microbiological testing methods.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in microbiological techniques.

 

Compliance and Regulation:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, standards, and internal quality procedures.
  • Collaborate with regulatory affairs teams to support product registrations and certifications.

 

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in microbiological testing and quality control.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement enhancements and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in using microbiological laboratory equipment and software.
  • Commitment to maintaining a high standard of laboratory safety.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Microbiology or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Microbiologist in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of microbiological testing techniques and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with quality control processes and microbiological safety protocols.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data interpretation.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
