Job Description:
Microbiological Analysis:
- Conduct routine and specialized microbiological analyses on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Utilize a variety of microbiological techniques, including culture, staining, and molecular methods.
Quality Assurance:
- Monitor and assess microbial quality and safety of products through regular sampling and testing.
- Collaborate with production teams to address any deviations from quality standards and recommend corrective actions.
Environmental Monitoring:
- Implement and oversee environmental monitoring programs to ensure cleanliness and prevent contamination in production areas.
- Investigate and address any microbiological issues in the production environment.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of microbiological analyses, including data interpretation and trends.
- Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing analysis results, deviations, and corrective actions.
Method Development and Validation:
- Contribute to the development and validation of microbiological testing methods.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in microbiological techniques.
Compliance and Regulation:
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, standards, and internal quality procedures.
- Collaborate with regulatory affairs teams to support product registrations and certifications.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in microbiological testing and quality control.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement enhancements and best practices.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in using microbiological laboratory equipment and software.
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of laboratory safety.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a dynamic environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Microbiology or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Microbiologist in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong knowledge of microbiological testing techniques and methodologies.
- Familiarity with quality control processes and microbiological safety protocols.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data interpretation.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
