Job Description:
The Inventory Analyst is the strategic lead responsible for the health, accuracy, and efficiency of our stock levels. This role is built for a data-driven professional who can transform complex stock movement patterns into actionable procurement and sales strategies. You will move beyond simple counting; you will be responsible for forecasting demand, optimizing safety stock, and implementing cost-reduction strategies that minimize waste while ensuring 100% product availability. Working at the intersection of Finance, Procurement, and Operations, you will be the guardian of the company’s working capital tied up in inventory.
Requirements:
1. Inventory Intelligence & Monitoring
Dynamic Tracking: Monitor real-time inventory levels across all warehouses and distribution hubs to ensure visibility.
Movement Analysis: Conduct deep-dive analysis on stock turnover rates, aging inventory, and velocity patterns to identify "dead stock" or high-demand items.
Integrity Audits: Identify and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and ERP system records (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite).
2. Demand Forecasting & Strategic Planning
Predictive Modeling: Utilize historical data and emerging market trends to develop precise demand forecasts.
Buffer Management: Establish and refine Reorder Points (ROP) and Safety Stock levels to prevent stockouts without over-investing in capital.
Procurement Alignment: Partner with the purchasing team to synchronize vendor lead times with forecasted demand.
3. Process Innovation & Cross-Functional Leadership
Cost Reduction: Implement rigorous inventory control procedures to minimize waste, obsolescence, and shrinkage.
Automation Advocacy: Support the rollout of digital tools and automation to enhance the speed and accuracy of stock movements.
Strategic Reporting: Prepare executive-level dashboards that link inventory performance to broader financial goals and product launch success.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience
Academic: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Tenure: 4+ years of progressive experience, ideally with a background in high-velocity sectors such as FMCG, Telecoms, Banking, or Luxury Retail.
Systems Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, macros) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems like SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
