Job Description:

• Our client, a reputable firm in the real estate & construction industry is seeking to hire an Accountant.
• The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support budgeting and compliance for construction and real estate projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accounting records, financial statements, profit and loss statements
• Manage invoices, payments, receivables, and expenses
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Ensure compliance with tax, PAYE, VAT, and statutory requirements
• Assist with audits and financial reporting
• Maintain accurate project and cost accounting records
• Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information
• Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
• Follow up on outstanding payments.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax and accounting standards
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and time management skills.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (minimum of 2.1)
• Minimum of 6 years’ accounting experience
• ICAN / ACCA qualification
