About Company:

Neveah Limited is a dynamic, fast-growing commodities trading and recycling company committed to excellence, sustainability, and global competitiveness. Since our establishment, we have evolved from a major player in commodity exports into a key stakeholder in Nigeria’s industrial and environmental revolution.

Job Description:

We are seeking a meticulous and highly analytical Chartered Accountant to serve as our Inventory Accountant. In this role, you will be the primary guardian of our stock assets, ensuring that every movement of material—from procurement to production and final sale—is accurately recorded, valued, and reconciled. You will work at the core of our operations, collaborating with Procurement, Stores, and Finance to enforce rigid internal controls and eliminate stock variances. This is a critical role for ensuring the accuracy of our Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and maintaining the financial health of our manufacturing processes.

Requirements:

1. Inventory Governance & ERP Management

  • System Integrity: Maintain and reconcile all inventory records within the ERP, ensuring that the digital ledger perfectly mirrors the physical reality in the warehouse.

  • Valuation Mastery: Manage inventory valuation methods (FIFO, Weighted Average) in strict compliance with IFRS standards to ensure accurate financial reporting.

  • Process Enforcement: Audit and enforce internal control procedures for material receipt, storage, and issuance to prevent leakage or mismanagement.

2. Reconciliation & Variance Intelligence

  • Physical Verification: Lead monthly physical stock counts and conduct rigorous variance analysis to identify and resolve discrepancies between system and physical counts.

  • Movement Tracking: Monitor all inter-departmental transfers, receipts, and issues, ensuring proper documentation for every stock movement.

  • Obsolescence Monitoring: Proactively identify and report slow-moving, damaged, or obsolete stock to protect the company from asset devaluation.

3. Cost Accounting & Audit Support

  • COGS Analysis: Support the cost accounting team in preparing accurate Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and production-related financial reports.

  • Audit Liaison: Serve as the technical lead during internal and external stock audits, providing clean workpapers and proof of control compliance.

  • Management Reporting: Prepare data-driven consumption reports that provide leadership with actionable insights for procurement and production planning.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience

  • Academic: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Professional: Must be a Chartered Accountant (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent).

  • Tenure: Minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience, with at least 3 years specifically in a manufacturing environment.

  • Residency: Must reside in Lagos or Ogun State, with proximity to Mowe.

Core Competencies

  • Technical: Expert knowledge of inventory controls, reconciliation, and MS Excel (Advanced).

  • Software: Proven proficiency in ERP/Accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Sage, or Microsoft Dynamics).

  • Attention to Detail: A high degree of accuracy and the ability to detect anomalies in large data sets.

  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with storekeepers and shop-floor personnel.
