Job Description:

We are seeking a veteran Infrastructure & Logistics Manager to lead, optimize, and scale our cross-border logistics and distribution network. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for the seamless movement of goods across Nigerian and international markets. You will serve as the strategic architect of our supply chain, balancing cost-efficiency with uncompromising regulatory compliance.

This role demands a seasoned professional who can manage the technicalities of customs and tariffs while simultaneously overseeing large-scale infrastructure and third-party logistics (3PL) partnerships. If you have 16+ years of post-graduation experience and a proven track record of navigating the complexities of global trade and infrastructure management, we invite you to drive our operational excellence.

Requirements:

1. Global Logistics & Distribution Strategy

  • End-to-End Orchestration: Lead all transportation and distribution operations across multiple domestic and international hubs, ensuring a resilient and scalable supply chain.

  • 3PL & Vendor Governance: Oversee the onboarding, performance benchmarking, and high-level contract negotiations with freight forwarders and logistics providers.

  • Cost Engineering: Monitor logistics expenditures to identify "leaks" and implement data-driven cost-reduction initiatives without compromising delivery speed or safety.

2. International Trade & Regulatory Compliance

  • Customs & Tariff Management: Manage the intricacies of import/export processes, including tariff classification, customs documentation, and duty optimization.

  • Regulatory Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for customs authorities, clearing agents, and maritime/aviation regulatory bodies to ensure zero-delay clearances.

  • Audit & Documentation: Maintain a "gold-standard" archive of logistics and customs records, ensuring the organization is always audit-ready.

3. Infrastructure & QHSE Governance

  • Standard Development: Establish and continuously refine shipping guidelines, transport standards, and infrastructure maintenance protocols.

  • Safety & Quality: Enforce strict adherence to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) policies across all warehouses, fleets, and transit routes.

  • Capacity Building: Champion internal training programs to develop the next generation of logistics leaders within the organization.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Experience: Minimum of 16 years post-graduation experience, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role within infrastructure and logistics.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline. An MBA or Master’s degree is highly preferred.

  • Certifications: Possession of professional credentials such as PMP, CILT, COREN, NSE, or IFMA will be viewed as a significant advantage.

Core Competencies

  • Strategic Oversight: Mastery of fleet management, procurement, and complex supply chain planning.

  • Regulatory Intelligence: Deep understanding of Nigerian and international trade laws and maritime/border compliance.

  • Negotiation Grit: Proven ability to negotiate high-value contracts with global shipping lines and service providers.

  • Leadership: A track record of managing multidisciplinary teams across different geographical locations.
