Job Description:
We are seeking a diligent and organized Logistics & Warehouse Assistant to support our humanitarian operations in Konduga, Borno. You will be the engine of our supply chain, ensuring that critical project materials and equipment are received, stored, tracked, and dispatched with precision. This role requires a high level of integrity, analytical capability, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment where humanitarian impact depends on operational excellence.
Requirements:
Warehouse Operations: Manage the receipt and issuance of diverse project materials. Verify quantities, inspect for damage, and ensure all goods are entered into the inventory system (DPA).
Inventory Control: Maintain accurate digital and physical records. Perform periodic spot checks to reconcile physical stock with computer inventory logs and identify obsolete items.
Logistics & Fleet Support: Assist in submitting weekly humanitarian cargo movement requests to the cluster. Support fleet management, driver orientations, and haulage inspections for outgoing dispatches.
Reporting & Analysis: Track supply usage, report incidents of loss or damage, and assist in determining optimal inventory levels, reorder points, and quantities.
Compliance: Ensure all activities align with project policies, donor-funded procurement rules, and high ethical standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: BS/BA Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Estate Management, or a related field.
Experience: 1–3 years of relevant professional experience.
Preferred Experience: * Familiarity with donor-funded procurement regulations.
Previous use of specialized inventory management software.
Success working in multicultural or humanitarian project environments.
