Mosra Energy Limited Nigeria (MEL)is a well-established coal mining company with over 15 years experience in the industry. We are operating coal mines in Kogi and Delta States. In addition to our current operations, we have several other coal blocks under exploration in Nsukka/Udenu, Enugu State, Dekina LGA, Kogi State, and Ogbadibo LGA, Benue State.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description:

  • We are seeking an experienced Head of Sales & Marketing to lead our coal export business, driving revenue growth, market expansion, and customer satisfaction.
  • The successful candidate will develop and execute strategic sales plans, build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders, and stay ahead of market trends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to optimize company capabilities, attract new opportunities, and retain current customers in the local and export coal market
  • Create innovative initiatives to achieve revenue and margin targets, monitoring service levels and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Oversee contract preparation, price/deal negotiations, and ensure compliance with company standards and import/export regulations
  • Build and maintain key relationships with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams to align with Group strategy
  • Coach and manage sales teams, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions
  • Analyze market trends, identify new business opportunities, and recommend price/rate reviews
  • Represent the company at industry-specific conferences, visiting customers, and seeking new markets and opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with import/export regulatory laws, managing relationships with local customs brokers and authorities as needed.

Requirements:

  • First Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline (MBA an added advantage)
  • 7 - 12 years proven experience in sales and marketing leadership, preferably in the coal or mineral industry
  • Strong understanding of export business and market dynamics
  • Excellent project management, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to think strategically and develop comprehensive marketing strategies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including PowerPoint and Excel

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with market research and analysis, identifying new business opportunities and trends
  • Strong network and relationships with key stakeholders in the coal industry
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and targets
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
