We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description:

• The Head of Financial Control is a key leadership role responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining strong financial control frameworks within the organization.
• The role ensures compliance with regulatory standards, protects company assets, and maintains the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting.
• This position works closely with relevant departments to identify financial risks, strengthen internal controls, and drive process improvements for enhanced organizational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive financial control policies to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Monitor changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Lead financial planning, analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting to management.
• Drive and manage the budgeting process.
• Oversee financial transactions and ensure accuracy.
• Streamline accounting functions and operations for efficiency.
• Prepare and review financial reports and statements.
• Analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making.
• Prepare, review, and oversee income statements.
• Handle MPR, ALCO reports/meetings, and filing of CBN returns.
• Manage treasury and liquidity operations.
• Oversee tax planning and compliance.
• Liaise with regulators and external/internal auditors.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Master’s degree or professional certifications (ACCA, CITA, CIBN, etc.) is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial control roles within the Microfinance Banking sector.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing a finance team.
• Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
