Job Description:

A Front Desk Officer is responsible for greeting visitors, answering phones, and providing administrative support, while also handling all financial transactions, including processing payments and balancing the cash drawer.

  • Key duties include managing appointments, directing inquiries, handling mail, and ensuring the reception area is organized and welcoming.
  • The role requires strong customer service, communication, and attention to detail to manage both public-facing and financial responsibilities efficiently.

 

Front Desk Duties

  • Greet and assist visitors: Provide a warm, professional, and friendly welcome to all guests, clients, and prospects.
  • Handle communication: Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and manage incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Manage scheduling: Help with scheduling appointments, meetings, and confirming appointments with customers or clients.
  • Perform administrative tasks: File documents, maintain office supplies, perform data entry, and assist with other clerical duties.
  • Maintain the reception area: Keep the front desk and waiting areas clean, organized, and presentable.

 

Cashier duties

  • Process payments: Receive and process payments from customers using cash, checks, credit cards, or other payment methods.
  • Issue receipts: Provide accurate receipts for all transactions.
  • Balance the till: Reconcile the cash register or till at the beginning and end of the shift to ensure all transactions are accounted for.
  • Manage cash float: Maintain and balance the cash float, which is the starting amount of money used for daily transactions.
  • Handle financial discrepancies: Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to guest bills or charges.

Requirements:

  • Interested candidates should possess an HND / Bachelor`s Degree with 3 - 4 years work experience.

Salary

N90,000 - N100,000 monthly.
