Job Description:
- The Fleet Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of all assigned fleet activities within his region, ensuring that drivers, trucks, and logistics operations run seamlessly and efficiently.
- This role requires a proactive, field-oriented individual who thrives in on-ground operations, ensures real-time reporting, and takes ownership of performance targets.
- The ideal candidate must be self-driven, result-oriented, and capable of managing multiple field engagements while maintaining strong communication with the central operations team.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily fleet operations, including driver dispatch, vehicle tracking, loading/unloading, and route adherence.
- Maintain real-time awareness of fleet movement, reporting incidents, breakdowns, or deviations as they happen.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and customer delivery timelines.
- Conduct regular field inspections of trucks, drivers, and loading points to verify operational readiness.
- Track fuel usage, maintenance schedules, and downtime; escalate anomalies promptly.
- Support HR and Operations in enforcing discipline, attendance, and driver behavior management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date operational records and submit daily and weekly performance reports.
- Work closely with remote management (local and international) to provide primary, verified field updates.
- Coordinate with maintenance, workshop, and admin units to ensure timely resolution of fleet issues.
- Drive productivity and cost efficiency across fleet activities, contributing to company targets.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Fleet uptime and availability percentage
- Incident and downtime reporting accuracy and timeliness
- Driver performance and compliance levels
- Reduction in avoidable breakdowns or fuel misuse
- Timely and accurate communication with management
- Achievement of dispatch and delivery targets
Requirements:
- Minimum of OND / HND / B.Sc. in Transport Management, Logistics, or related discipline
- 3–5 years’ experience supervising fleet operations or field logistics
- Proven track record in managing drivers and truck performance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets and GPS tracking platforms (e.g., NovaTrack, Track24, Fleetio, or equivalent)
- Must be comfortable working extensively on the field (80% field / 20% office).

- Strong on-field coordination and people management skills
- Excellent communication and reporting ability (must be prompt and detailed)
- Strong sense of accountability and urgency
- Good understanding of truck/fleet maintenance basics
- Data-driven and organized, with strong attention to detail
