Job Description:

We are seeking a versatile and proactive Maintenance & Facilities Manager to serve as the technical backbone of our hotel operations. You will be responsible for the end-to-end functionality of all hotel infrastructure—from power generation and electrical grids to complex plumbing and HVAC systems. This is a high-impact role designed for an engineer who prioritizes "Preventive over Reactive" maintenance, ensuring that guest comfort is never compromised by technical failures. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can troubleshoot a generator as effectively as they can manage a vendor contract or an energy efficiency budget.

Requirements:

1. Power & Utility Infrastructure Management

• Energy Reliability: Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of generators and power supply systems to ensure zero-downtime for guests.

• Systems Integrity: Manage the hotel’s electrical grid, lighting, and core HVAC systems, ensuring peak performance and energy efficiency.

• Water & Plumbing Governance: Maintain all water treatment and plumbing systems, ensuring consistent pressure and temperature throughout the facility.

2. Preventive Maintenance & Asset Lifecycle

• Routine Inspections: Conduct rigorous daily inspections of technical facilities to identify and resolve potential issues before they lead to emergency breakdowns.

• Service Scheduling: Develop and execute a comprehensive preventive maintenance calendar for all high-value machinery and equipment.

• Logistics & Records: Maintain meticulous maintenance logs, incident reports, and service schedules to track the health of the hotel’s physical assets.

3. Operational Leadership & Vendor Management

• Technical Supervision: Coordinate and vet external specialized technicians and service providers, ensuring all outsourced work meets our quality and safety standards.

• Resource Monitoring: Track fuel consumption, spare parts inventory, and energy usage to minimize waste and optimize operational costs.

• Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all facilities adhere to national safety, health, and environmental regulatory standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Technical Edge

• Academic: HND or B.Sc. in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering preferred).

• Tenure: 3–5 years of hands-on experience in facilities management or building maintenance.

• Industry Context: Prior experience in a Hotel, Estate, or Hospital environment is a major advantage.

Core Competencies

• Technical Mastery: Deep knowledge of generator maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, and plumbing systems.

• Leadership: Ability to supervise vendors and work independently under pressure.

• Problem Solving: Advanced diagnostic skills with a commitment to rapid response for urgent technical issues.

• Literacy: Strong reporting skills with the ability to maintain clear, digital, or manual documentation.
