Job Description:

Are you a results-driven Civil Engineer with a passion for large-scale infrastructure? T.E.A.M. Nigeria Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Civil Engineer to join our elite supervision team for the Kano-Maradi-Dutse Railway Project in Kano State. In this role, you will be the primary authority for on-site civil works, ensuring that every kilometer of construction aligns with approved structural drawings, international engineering standards, and stringent safety regulations. This is a prestigious opportunity to contribute to a landmark national project that will redefine sustainable transport and regional connectivity in Nigeria.

Requirements:

1. Site Supervision & Technical Validation

  • Technical Oversight: Supervise all on-site civil, structural, and architectural works, ensuring rigorous adherence to design specifications and quality benchmarks.

  • Drawing Validation: Review and interpret complex engineering blueprints, validating that the contractor’s execution matches the approved structural intent.

  • Problem Engineering: Proactively identify and resolve technical bottlenecks or construction conflicts to prevent project delays.

2. Project Coordination & Progress Monitoring

  • Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the technical bridge between contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to facilitate smooth site operations.

  • Progress Auditing: Monitor construction milestones daily and provide accurate, data-driven reports to the project management office.

  • Quantity Verification: Assist in verifying completed works and validating quantities to ensure accurate payment certification and budget control.

3. Quality Assurance & HSE Compliance

  • Material Integrity: Support quality assurance protocols, ensuring that all materials used on the railway project meet durability and engineering standards.

  • Safety Enforcement: Enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations on-site to maintain a zero-accident environment.

  • Standardization: Ensure all works comply with COREN and international railway engineering standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

Academic & Professional Background

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in large-scale project construction and site supervision.

  • Certification: COREN registration is highly preferred and considered a mark of professional technical standing.

Technical & Core Skills

  • Software Mastery: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and specialized engineering design software.

  • Methodology: Deep understanding of modern construction methods and civil engineering standards.

  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage site teams and thrive under challenging environmental conditions.

  • Resilience: Ability to adapt to extended work hours and the rigorous demands of a major railway site.
