Job Description:
We are seeking a versatile and highly capable Project Engineer to join our technical operations team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the structural and systems integrity of our projects located in the premium hubs of Maitama, Abuja, and Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.
As a Project Engineer, you will bridge the gap between architectural blueprints and physical reality. You will be responsible for site supervision, technical troubleshooting, and vendor management to ensure that all engineering works—civil, electrical, and mechanical—are executed to the highest standards of quality and safety. Requirements:
1. Site Supervision & Technical Execution
Project Oversight: Supervise day-to-day engineering activities on-site, ensuring that work progresses according to the master schedule.
Blueprint Translation: Interpret technical drawings and specifications, ensuring that site teams and subcontractors follow precise design requirements.
Quality Control: Conduct rigorous inspections of materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with national and international engineering standards.
2. Multidisciplinary Systems Coordination
MEP Integration: Coordinate the installation and maintenance of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, ensuring seamless integration within the building’s structure.
Resource Optimization: Manage on-site materials and equipment, implementing cost-saving measures without compromising structural integrity.
Safety Governance: Enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols on-site to maintain a zero-incident work environment.
3. Reporting & Stakeholder Management
Progress Documentation: Prepare and submit detailed daily and weekly site progress reports to the Head of Operations.
Vendor Liaison: Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of services and high-quality material procurement.
Technical Problem-Solving: Identify site bottlenecks and engineering challenges early, proposing and implementing efficient technical solutions.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Building Technology.
Professional Standing: Membership with COREN or the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) is a significant advantage.
Location Flexibility: Candidates must be willing to work at our sites in Maitama (Abuja) or Lekki Phase 1 (Lagos).
Core Competencies
Technical Literacy: Proficient in reading blueprints and using engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project).
Project Management: Strong ability to manage multiple workstreams and meet strict deadlines.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills to manage both site laborers and executive stakeholders.
Integrity: High level of accountability in material management and reporting.
