Job Description:
Strategic Leadership & Operational Excellence
Growth Strategy: Assist in developing and executing operational frameworks that drive profitability, scalability, and long-term business efficiency.
Process Reengineering: Lead organizational change initiatives and business process reengineering (BPR) to modernize workflows and eliminate operational bottlenecks.
Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of innovation and Lean methodologies to enhance productivity across the refinery, terminal, or distribution hubs.
Supply Chain & Logistics Oversight
Day-to-Day Management: Direct the company’s daily operations, ensuring the seamless integration of production, supply chain, and logistics.
KPI Management: Establish and monitor mission-critical KPIs (e.g., vessel turnaround time, storage utilization, and fleet efficiency) to measure and report progress to the board.
Budgetary Governance: Manage multi-billion Naira operational budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation while minimizing overhead costs.
Stakeholder & Regulatory Management
Relationship Management: Build and sustain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies (NMDPRA), major suppliers, and corporate clients.
Compliance & Quality: Ensure 100% adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards, as well as industry-specific quality regulations.
Risk Mitigation: Monitor global oil trends and local market conditions to anticipate supply chain disruptions or regulatory shifts.
Requirements:
Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the "big picture" while maintaining a grip on granular operational details.
Change Management: Proven ability to lead large teams through transformation projects and organizational shifts.
Resilience: Exceptional adaptability in the face of market volatility and downstream supply chain uncertainty.
Qualifications and Skills:
Industry Tenure: 15+ years of proven experience in the Oil & Gas Downstream sector is mandatory.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or Engineering. An MBA is strongly preferred.
Leadership Background: Demonstrated success in senior management roles (GM, Director, or COO level) with a track record of driving business growth.
Financial Acumen: Strong budget management skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data to make operational decisions.
