Job Description:
We are looking for a highly analytical and process-driven Chartered Accountant to lead our financial and inventory operations. This role is critical in bridging the gap between high-level financial strategy and the ground-level reality of inventory management across our multi-location operations. You will be responsible for the integrity of our financial statements, the accuracy of our stock valuations, and the enforcement of cost-control measures that drive profitability. Requirements:
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
Statement Integrity: Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow) in strict compliance with IFRS/local accounting standards.
Closing Cycles: Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all reconciliations are completed with precision and speed.
Statutory Compliance: Manage all tax filings and statutory requirements, serving as the primary liaison for external auditors and tax authorities.
2. Specialized Inventory Management
Valuation & Costing: Oversee inventory accounting, ensuring accurate recording of stock levels, unit costs, and valuations (FIFO/Weighted Average).
Loss Mitigation: Implement and monitor inventory control procedures to minimize wastage, shrinkage, and discrepancies across all locations.
Audit Leadership: Conduct regular physical inventory audits and reconcile physical counts with system records promptly to identify and resolve leakage.
3. Cost Control & Strategic Analysis
Budgetary Oversight: Develop and maintain budgets and forecasts, providing deep-dive variance analysis between actual vs. budgeted figures.
Strategic Insights: Provide financial modeling and risk management support to senior leadership to guide business growth and operational efficiency.
Team Leadership: Mentor and develop a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous process improvement.
Qualifications and Skills:
Mandatory Credentials
Certification: Chartered Accountant (CA/ICAN/ACCA) certification is mandatory.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience, with a heavy focus on inventory management (preferably in the F&B or multi-location retail industry).
Technical Skills
Systems: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho) and advanced MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Financial Modeling).
ERP Knowledge: Familiarity with ERP systems and specialized inventory management software is highly preferred.
Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of tax laws, financial regulations, and industry-specific compliance.
