We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description:

Financial Record Keeping & Reporting:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and journals.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure timely posting of all financial transactions into the accounting system (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Zoho).
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and support month-end/year-end close processes.

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

  • Process vendor bills, employee reimbursements, and supplier payments.
  • Track customer invoices, follow up on outstanding receivables, and ensure proper documentation.
  • Reconcile accounts payable/receivable balances regularly.

Bank & Cash Management:

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Monitor cash flow and prepare cash position reports.
  • Ensure proper documentation of cash advances, receipts, and deposits.

Compliance & Audit Support:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws (PAYE, VAT, WHT, Company Income Tax).
  • Prepare and file statutory returns within deadlines.
  • Support internal and external audit processes with relevant documentation.

Budgeting & Financial Analysis:

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Analyze variances and provide financial insights to management.
  • Monitor departmental spending against budget.

Internal Controls & Documentation:

  • Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Ensure proper documentation and archiving of all financial records.
  • Review and improve accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements:

  • B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2–4 years relevant experience (HMO or service industry experience is an advantage).
  • Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA) is an added advantage.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Zoho).
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and financial regulations.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced level preferred).

Working Conditions:

  • Office-based role (Monday–Friday).
  • May require occasional extended work hours during audits, month-end, or year-end activities.
