Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and disciplined Account Officer to join our finance team in Oluyole, Ibadan. In an industrial environment, financial accuracy is the bedrock of operational success. Your mission is to manage the daily financial heartbeat of the organization—ensuring every transaction is recorded with precision, every invoice is processed on time, and every account is reconciled to the kobo.
You will be responsible for the full spectrum of daily accounting operations, from managing payables and receivables to ensuring strict tax compliance. If you have 1–3 years of experience, a strong grasp of financial reporting, and the ability to maintain integrity in a fast-paced industrial setting, we invite you to apply.
Requirements:
1. Financial Operations & Ledger Management
Transaction Integrity: Record daily financial transactions accurately within the accounting system, maintaining a clean and audit-ready general ledger.
P2P & O2C Management: Oversee the Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) and Order-to-Cash (O2C) cycles by processing supplier invoices and managing customer receivables.
Cash Flow Monitoring: Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable to ensure the organization’s liquidity remains healthy.
2. Reconciliation & Compliance
Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank statement reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies immediately.
Tax Governance: Ensure timely and accurate calculation, filing, and payment of all relevant taxes (VAT, WHT, PAYE) in compliance with FIRS and OYIRS regulations.
Policy Adherence: Ensure all financial activities align with both International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and internal company policies.
3. Reporting & Budgetary Control
Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management review.
Expense Monitoring: Track departmental spending against approved budgets, highlighting variances and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Budget Preparation: Provide data-driven support during the annual budgeting process to ensure realistic financial forecasting.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: 1–3 years of relevant work experience in an accounting or finance role.
Technical IQ: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAGE, QuickBooks, or SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Location: Must be able to work full-time at the Oluyole Industrial Estate, Ibadan.
