Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and service-oriented Travel Consultant to join our team at Talent Forge Solutions. In this role, you will be the architect of our clients' journeys, transforming their travel dreams into seamless, stress-free realities. You will manage the entire travel lifecycle from initial destination research and flight bookings to complex visa processing and on-trip problem solving.

The ideal candidate is a savvy navigator of the travel industry who can handle high-pressure situations with grace and turn client objections into successful bookings through expert knowledge and persuasion.

Requirements:

Travel Planning & Logistics

• End-to-End Coordination: Consult with clients to plan, book, and manage comprehensive travel experiences, including domestic and international flights, hotel accommodations, and curated tours.

• Visa Support: Navigate and manage visa application processes for various jurisdictions, ensuring all documentation is accurate and submitted within strict timelines.

• Technical Booking: Utilize industry knowledge of fare rules, ticketing protocols, and routing to provide clients with the most efficient and cost-effective travel options.

Client Relations & Sales

• Objection Handling: Confidently address client concerns regarding pricing, destinations, or logistics, providing expert alternatives to close sales.

• Problem Resolution: Act as the primary point of contact for travel disruptions, solving real-time issues (such as flight cancellations or hotel discrepancies) to ensure a seamless experience for the traveler.

• Consultative Selling: Build rapport with clients by providing deep insights into travel destinations, local customs, and seasonal trends.

Operations & Administration

• Data Management: Maintain organized records of bookings, payments, and client preferences to ensure personalized future service.

• Deadline Management: Work under pressure to meet tight booking windows and visa submission dates without compromising on detail.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Minimum of an OND/HND in Tourism, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field.

• Experience:

  • At least 1+ years of experience in travel consulting, ticketing, or high-level customer service.

  • Practical experience with GDS (Global Distribution Systems) or modern booking platforms is a plus.

• Core Competencies:

  • Industry Knowledge: Solid familiarity with global travel destinations, fare rules, and current visa requirements.

  • Resilience: Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively manage client expectations and objections.

• Geographic Requirement: Candidates must reside in or around Gbagada, Lagos to ensure consistent attendance and operational efficiency.
