Job Description:
We are seeking a results-driven Medical Sales Representative to spearhead business growth in our assigned territory. In the healthcare sector, sales are built on clinical trust and technical expertise. Your mission is to serve as a strategic consultant to healthcare providers, introducing them to medical solutions that improve patient outcomes while meeting aggressive revenue targets.
You will be responsible for the entire sales lifecycle—from identifying new business opportunities and cold-calling to managing high-value existing accounts. Requirements:
1. Strategic Business Development
Prospecting & Lead Generation: Proactively identify and develop relationships with potential customers (Hospitals, Clinics, Pharmacies, and Lab Directors).
Technical Presentations: Conduct clinical presentations and product demonstrations to medical professionals, highlighting the features and benefits of our medical devices/services.
Territory Strategy: Implement effective sales and marketing strategies tailored specifically to the unique demographic and clinical needs of your assigned territory.
2. Relationship & Account Management
Customer Retention: Manage and grow existing customer accounts by ensuring consistent product supply and providing exceptional after-sales support.
Strategic Partnerships: Build lasting relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and decision-makers within the healthcare ecosystem.
Service Excellence: Act as the primary point of contact for service inquiries, ensuring that customer expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
3. Sales Intelligence & Automation
Market Insights: Monitor competitor activities and market trends to provide actionable feedback to management on pricing and product positioning.
Digital Proficiency: Utilize sales automation platforms and MS Office to track activities, manage pipelines, and submit accurate sales reports.
Revenue Growth: Optimize the balance between fixed activities and commission-based targets to maximize territory profitability.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: B.Sc./HND in Medical Sciences, Life Sciences, or Marketing.
Alternative Criteria: OND holders in Medical Sciences or B.Sc./HND in Marketing will be considered if they possess 3+ years of specific healthcare sales experience.
Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of field sales experience, preferably in Healthcare or Medical Device sales.
Tech IQ: Basic proficiency in MS Office and experience with Sales Automation/CRM platforms.
Core Competencies
Negotiation & Closing: The ability to handle objections and close complex deals in a clinical setting.
Scientific Literacy: Ability to understand and communicate complex medical data and technical product specifications.
Resilience: Highly self-motivated and comfortable working in a role that is partly fixed and partly commission-based.
Organization: Exceptional territory management and scheduling skills.
