Job Description:

We are seeking a visionary and highly technical Technical Director to spearhead our pharmaceutical operations, research and development (R&D), and manufacturing excellence. As the primary custodian of our technical integrity, you will bridge the gap between business strategy and industrial execution. You will be responsible for the end-to-end manufacturing lifecycle—from product conceptualization and validation to large-scale production—ensuring absolute compliance with GMP, NAFDAC, and PCN standards. The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader with a deep scientific background, capable of driving technological innovation while mentoring a high-performance team of pharmacists, engineers, and scientists.

Requirements:

1. Operational Excellence & Manufacturing Technology

• Technical Leadership: Lead the technical operations and manufacturing units to ensure consistent production of high-quality pharmaceutical products.

• Technology Management: Oversee the implementation of advanced production technologies and automation to optimize yield and reduce operational downtime.

• Process Validation: Drive the validation of manufacturing processes and equipment to ensure they consistently produce results meeting pre-determined specifications.

2. R&D and Product Development

• Innovation Pipeline: Lead the R&D department in the formulation and development of new products, ensuring they meet therapeutic goals and market needs.

• Product Stability & Quality: Oversee stability studies and quality systems to ensure that all products maintain their integrity throughout their shelf life.

• Strategic Execution: Align technical R&D initiatives with the company’s long-term business goals to ensure a competitive product portfolio.

3. Regulatory Compliance & Governance

• Statutory Compliance: Serve as the primary liaison with NAFDAC, PCN, and other regulatory bodies, ensuring 100% compliance with all local and international standards.

• GMP Standards: Maintain a "culture of quality" by ensuring strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety protocols across all facilities.

• Quality Management Systems (QMS): Oversee the internal audit processes and quality assurance frameworks to mitigate risks and ensure product safety.

Qualifications and Skills:

Academic & Professional Excellence

• Education: A Ph.D. or Master’s Degree in Pharmacy is mandatory.

• Licensing: Must be a registered Pharmacist with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).

• Tenure: Extensive industry experience in a senior technical or leadership role within the pharmaceutical sector.

• Age Specification: Candidates should be not above 50 years of age.

• Leadership & Mentorship: A proven track record of managing and developing multidisciplinary technical teams.
